Activities
As a Marine Conservation volunteer in Spain, you’ll get involved in the following activities:
Map & Location
Home to sun-kissed coastlines, the oldest restaurant in the world, and the third-most UNESCO World Heritage Sites, Spain has something for everyone. It is safe, welcoming, and a hugely popular tourist destination, with some of the best beaches in Europe.
Barcelona
Though it hardly needs an introduction, Barcelona is Spain’s second city, located in Catalonia on the eastern coast. It is home to more than 1.5 million people and is most famous for the archtectural work of Gaudi and its football culture.
Barcelona is more than just a city, though — it’s an experience. With a mediterranean climate and golden beaches, it is perfect for a sunny escape. Be sure not to miss the historic Gothic Quarter, beautiful public parks, and the world renowned Basilica.
Food & Accommodation
Feel right at home with everything you need for an incredible, stress-free experience in the Spanish sun. You’ll be able to rest in a comfortable bed, enjoy three home-cooked meals a day, and have easy access to fresh drinking water.
You’ll be welcomed with open arms and feel like a local, immersing yourself in Catalan culture while living with a vetted host family in Barcelona alongside other participants. We will handle your daily transport to and from your placement, taking another little worry off the list.
Your host family home will be clean, safe, and secure, and if you share a room with another traveller, they will be of the same gender and approximate age. This gives you the chance to enjoy a global experience together, share your culture, and leave with new perspectives.
Your Arrival Made Easy
