With us, you can choose where to volunteer abroad, and what kind of work you want to do. Our Project Experts are here to help you choose the volunteer project that fits your interests and schedule. 

Here are some of our most popular volunteering trips for specific ages:

Or projects are perfect if you want to travel according to your own schedule, and work more independently. They’re a great fit for adults looking for volunteer holidays, and work equally well if you’re going as a single or with a friend or partner.  

When you’re not working, there’s plenty for you to see and do to further enjoy your volunteering holiday. Our in-country staff can give you tips on where to go and what to do over weekends. See local sights, eat your weight in delicious traditional food, and experience the culture and traditions!

Volunteer Holidays for Singles

Take a volunteer holiday for singles and focus on helping others or the environment as part of your holiday. If you’re traveling solo, we recommend one of our Volunteer & Intern projects. 

On these programmes, you’ll work independently while receiving support from our in-country staff when you need it.

Whichever option you choose, you’ll meet passionate volunteers from around the world and you’ll work alongside our dedicated in-country staff. You can also be sure that your work is making a tangible difference. In your free time, you can explore new streets, taste the local cuisine, and get to know your host family or new friends.

Volunteer Holidays for Seniors

As an older volunteer, you too have the opportunity to travel and make a difference. Share your skills and life experiences with local staff and our partner organisations. You’ll meet people from around the world and explore your surroundings while being fully immersed in a new country.

As an older volunteer abroad, you can join one of our Volunteer & Intern programmes. On these trips, you’ll work independently but still have the support of our staff. Our projects run all year round, no matter how many volunteers we have.

If you prefer a shorter time abroad, and want to work with a group of likeminded volunteers in their 50s and older, join one of our Over 50s programmes.

No matter the project you choose, you’ll be part of our long-term, sustainable efforts. It’s the perfect opportunity to travel and make a difference in the lives of others.

Family Volunteer Holidays Abroad

Travel with purpose with those closest to you – your family. On a family volunteer holiday abroad, you’ll experience the power of giving back as a family unit.

You’ll volunteer on projects where we work toward long-term sustainable goals. If you’re traveling with your children, this is a wonderful way to teach them about helping others and realising their potential. You can also use the time to bond and relax in a new setting. Your family will have 24/7 support from our dedicated in-country staff.

Volunteer Holidays with Animals

We offer a wide variety of animal volunteer holidays, through our Conservation Projects. 

If you want a wildlife conservation holiday, our Conservation Projects are for you. Invoke your inner Charles Darwin and work with sea lions and giant tortoises in the Galapagos Islands. Monitor wild elephant populations or help protect endangered giraffes in the heart of Africa. Or, help rehabilitate spider monkeys in the middle of the Amazon Rainforest in Peru. There is so much to choose from! 

Is your heart tugging you away from land toward the ocean? We also have marine conservation holidays, where you can protect coral reefs in Thailand or research sharks in Fiji.

Will I really make a difference on a humanitarian holiday?

Taking a humanitarian holiday is a great way to do something exciting and channel your energy into positive change while on vacation. Instead of relaxing at a beach resort, for example, you can travel to a black sand beach in Mexico and save endangered sea turtles.
